  • Vancouver is celebrating Arbor Month with tree plantings, exhibits, and an award ceremony at Jane Weber Evergreen Arboretum on April 9 to mark its 36th year as Tree City USA—community members are invited to join a service project to plant trees and pollinator plants while city teams assess the tree canopy for future urban forestry work.  Clark County Today

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lawmakers in the state House passed a two-year $77.8 billion operating budget just after midnight Tuesday, setting the stage for negotiations with the Senate and Governor Bob Ferguson to address a multi-billion dollar shortfall—key funding increases and new revenue sources are part of the plan.  Clark County Today
  • Clark County Public Works will hold an open house on April 10th from 6—8 p.m. at 505 NW 179th St in Ridgefield to share plans for realigning Northeast Delfel Road by moving its north leg and replacing a traffic signal with a multi-lane roundabout. Construction will begin in 2029 and staff will offer a live broadcast presentation from 6:30—7 p.m. with a Q&A to explain improvements including drainage enhancements and a soundwall to reduce noise at the RV park.  Clark County Today
