- ➤ Battle Ground Public Schools' annual plant and greenhouse sales will begin on April 26 with student-grown flowers, vegetables and native plants available at three locations—CASEE campus in Brush Prairie, Battle Ground High and Prairie High in Vancouver. - ➤ State and local agencies warned drivers in work zones to slow down as fatal and serious injury collisions increased 17% statewide and 36% in severe injuries due to speeding, tailgating and distracted driving—adding that six rotating Work Zone Speed Cameras will be used this summer to catch speeders. - ➤ Brenda Lili Barrera Orantes—owner of La Popular with a branch in Vancouver—has been arraigned for allegedly laundering $18.5 million in drug proceeds from Mexico and Honduras through her money service business after federal search warrants were executed in Beaverton on April 16, federal authorities said. - ➤ Rep. Jim Walsh introduced HB 2076 to create the Washington Department of Government Efficiency—known as WA DOGE—to audit state agencies and cut waste by holding back 6% of each agency's budget pending review. The bill was referred today to the House State Government & Tribal Relations Committee and may later be advanced as an initiative if it gains support. Clark County Today

- ➤ PeaceHealth and Lifepoint Rehabilitation received state approval to build a 50-bed rehabilitation hospital at 3400 Main Street in Vancouver.
