- ➤ Washougal Songcraft Festival launched a pilot music education program at Washougal High School to supplement choir and Music Production classes with sessions led by regional musicians; sessions held from April 8th through April 25th covered songwriting, recording techniques, & composition, and two more sessions are scheduled this spring. The program was organized with school officials and is part of an effort to enhance music education for students. Clark County Today
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Washington state lawmakers approved a bill that will raise the littering fine from $50 to $125 for small trash loads—people caught on highways may face up to $218 in fines if cities add extra penalties. The bill must still be signed by Gov. Bob Ferguson to take effect on July 27, and it comes in response to a study showing that local littering exceeds the national average. The Oregonian
