Good morning, Vancouver.

Officials in the Camas School District announced major budget cuts due to a multi-million-dollar shortfall for the 2025-26 school year—39 staff contracts were not renewed and some teachers received pay cuts.

The district said it will reduce spending by 10-12% and may alter music and theater programs—measures aimed at closing a gap of $13.3-15.6 million.

Stephen Davis—a conservative activist and co-host of Campus Crashers from Turning Point USA—will speak on May 7 at the Clark County High School Activism Hub in Vancouver, where he will address youth activism and conservative values.
