- ➤ Gov. Bob Ferguson signed a rent-control bill into law on Wednesday that limits rent increases to 7% plus inflation or 10% — whichever is lower, protects renters in single-family homes, and sets a 5% cap for manufactured homes. KOIN
- ➤ Grocers and restaurant owners urged Gov. Ferguson to veto a three-year, 0.5% surcharge in HB 2081—critics say the extra tax on food wholesalers will drive up food prices. Lawmakers passed the tax bill to secure needed funds, and if the surcharge is removed, a special session may be called to rebalance the budget. Clark County Today
