- ➤ Clark County will pay $3.5 million to the family of Jenoah Donald—an unarmed motorist fatally shot by deputy Sean Boyle during a 2021 traffic stop over a broken taillight—while county officials deny liability and Boyle remains on duty. The Oregonian
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Vancouver City Council advanced a proposal to end free weekend parking downtown—if approved after a public hearing next week, fees will start on June 1. The plan also calls for daily paid parking north of Evergreen Boulevard beginning next year to boost parking turnover in busy areas like the Waterfront. KOIN
- ➤ Clark County is asking for volunteers to join its Development and Engineering Advisory Board—one position is for a Southwest Washington Contractor’s Association representative and the other is for a commercial or industrial development professional.
