  • A Portland dumpling restaurant known for its soup dumplings plans to open two new locations, one in Vancouver and one in Southeast Portland. The Vancouver branch received a business license on April 21 and is waiting for approval to serve alcohol in the former Shari’s Cafe & Pies space (4720 N.E. Thurston Way) with dining hours (11 a.m. to 10 p.m.).  The Oregonian

  • Camas City Councilor Leslie Lewallen released a statement opposing the proposed countywide fireworks ban that Clark County Council is voting on today — she urged leaders to protect personal freedoms.  Clark County Today
  • Representative John Ley warned today that TriMet is asking up to $15 million per light rail vehicle for the Interstate Bridge Replacement project—well above previous costs, and he urged lawmakers to demand fiscal transparency and consider cost-effective transit alternatives.
