Good morning, Vancouver.

A 15-year-old remains missing after he vanished while swimming near Long Beach Friday evening, with rescuers saving two men and suspending the search when night fell — Coast Guard crews ended efforts at 12:30 a.m.

On May 17, Washington’s Department of Fish and Wildlife allowed drivers in Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties to salvage roadkill from black‐tailed deer and elk if they secure a permit within 24 hours.

Officials said the rule minimizes the risk of mistakenly salvaging the protected Columbian white‐tailed deer—further monitoring will follow.
