- ➤ Clark County’s Lands Management division will begin a forest thinning project at Spud Mountain this summer to remove 30 percent of trees, improve forest health, supply timber to local markets, and support salmon habitat restoration. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Starting June 4, Vancouver will redirect customers from its old ePermit system to a new Online Permit Center that makes it easier to apply for permits, pay fees, and schedule inspections. The system will require a secure login—saving contractor license details and payment methods—and offers payment options like Visa and Mastercard. Clark County Today

- ➤ Public health officials warned dog owners about a new toxic algae in the Columbia River that killed at least two dogs and may cause a tingly, burning sensation in people.
