ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ One person died and another was hospitalized after a three-alarm fire at the Ridgecrest Apartments on Northeast 104th Street in Hazel Dell early Thursday; fire crews arrived at 12:30 a.m.—explosions were heard and residents from at least 12 units were evacuated while the cause remained under investigation. - ➤ Vancouver City Council approved the city's new Bee City USA affiliation in April, and Vancouver will celebrate with a free Pollinator Festival on June 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Marshall Community Park — the event will include educational walks, vendors and family activities. - ➤ Washington State Parks has urged Fourth of July visitors to pack out their trash and follow beach safety rules while volunteering for a cleanup event on July 5 to protect wildlife and reduce hazards.
