- ➤ Scientists are tracking an earthquake swarm at Mount Rainier that so far recorded 334 quakes—more than the 2009 event's 120. The swarm peaked on Tuesday with 26 quakes per hour and a top reading of 2.3, and USGS said fluids moving along faults are to blame with no sign of magmatic unrest. KOIN

- ➤ Washington Attorney General Nick Brown announced Tuesday that a Michigan-based scammer behind Labor Law Poster Service & its two principals must pay $8.2 million for sending nearly 600,000 deceptive letters to small businesses.
