Good morning, Vancouver.

A count on Jan. 30 recorded 1,530 homeless people in Clark County—a 12 percent jump from Jan.

25—that included a 21 percent rise among 133 seniors. The Council for the Homeless said the increase is due to a lack of affordable housing and that 58 percent of those counted were unsheltered, prompting calls for more support services.

Authorities said a 74-year-old man died after falling 30 feet from a cliff near Naked Falls on the Washougal River on Thursday—search and rescue teams recovered his body and officials determined his death was accidental.

International motocross racers will compete today at Washougal MX Park in the Pro-Motocross Washougal National, and local athlete Levi Kitchen is set to lead the high-profile event - hundreds of spectators are expected.

This race brings top talent from around the world to our local track.
