- ➤ On Monday, July 28, Vancouver Fire crews quickly extinguished a 50-by-50-foot blackberry brush fire along Erwin O. Rieger Memorial Highway in about 10 minutes—staying for an hour and a half to ensure it did not reignite—and no injuries were reported. Clark County Today

- ➤ A new report shows that while statewide violent crime fell, Vancouver saw a 57.1% rise in murders + a 66.7% increase in human trafficking reports and a 175.4% jump in drug and narcotic violations from 2023 to 2024. KOIN
