🎭 Culture
Delanie Craighead, the 2026 American Honey Queen from California, arrived in Clark County at 1 a.m. Friday to open the Clark County Fair in Ridgefield—she will make several appearances at the Bee Barn while Mars Encounters drew a large family crowd by 10 a.m. The fair runs through Aug. 16.
Inspire Vancouver has opened grant applications for local nonprofits focused on arts, culture, heritage or science.
The grants cover programs running from November through June with a $3.85 million budget, and applications are accepted until (11:59 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10).
🏥 Health
Clark County’s Board of Health is accepting applications for six volunteer Public Health Advisory Council positions with three-year terms starting Oct.
1. Interested candidates must submit a letter and résumé by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31 to the County Manager’s Office (by mail or email).
