- ➤ Bodycam footage released shows that on July 30 a deputy shot and killed a man near Main Street and East 19th Street while responding to reports that the suspect was armed, drunk and on meth, and the Office of Independent Investigation is reviewing the case — Deputy Michael Gonzalez has been placed on leave. - ➤ On July 30, 2025, in Vancouver, a Clark County deputy fatally shot 36-year-old Branden Michael Whitcomb after chasing him and repeatedly warning 'you’re gonna get shot'—the bodycam video shows Whitcomb, who had threatened his parents and carried a gun, falling from four rounds while the officer remains on administrative leave pending investigation.
