- ➤ Local playwright David Bareford’s new play – There’s Still Snow on Silver Star – will debut Sept. 12 through Oct. 5 at Love Street Playhouse in Woodland and tells a story of a family fighting to save their homestead in early 1900s Yacolt as a wildfire threatens their land. Clark County Today
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On August 14, 2025, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi sent letters to leaders in Oregon and Washington warning that sanctuary policies must change and requiring a response by August 19 — the letters also went to California, and local officials vowed to keep their own immigration rules. Washington Governor Bob Ferguson said his state would not yield to the threat while Oregon Governor Tina Kotek said officials would defend local policies in court. KOIN
