- ➤ Evergreen Public Schools support staff strike delayed the start of the school year a second time—classes will not begin on September 2 even though free breakfast and lunch are offered at Heritage High, Mountain View, and Marrion. Superintendent Christine Moloney said union leaders chose to continue the strike and that daily updates will be provided beginning Tuesday afternoon. KOIN
- ➤ Evergreen Public Schools will delay classes until at least Wednesday for the 26,000 students as union talks with 1,400 classified employees continue—daily updates will be sent at 4 p.m. and free breakfast and lunch will be available for students at three designated schools. The Oregonian
