- ➤ Pathways Clinic, which has provided free pregnancy care for 31 years, will host its annual fundraiser on Oct. 23 at the Vancouver Hilton—featuring Dr. Ben Carson and broadcaster Georgene Rice to help fund a new clinic location and expanded services. Clark County Today
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Clark County is urging residents to compost Halloween pumpkins and jack-o’-lanterns by using free drop-off hubs, curbside service, or backyard bins after removing paint, glitter, and decorations. This effort will reduce landfill waste and lower the methane emissions from decomposing organic matter. Clark County Today

- ➤ Washington’s Attorney General is co-leading a lawsuit against the EPA after the agency abruptly ended a $7 billion solar program meant to lower energy bills for low-income families, and Oregon joined the suit on October 16th in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington—23 states and additional officials are part of the complaint.
