CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Vancouver woman was arrested on two second-degree murder charges after she allegedly stabbed her father and cut her mother's throat during an Easter dispute at her home around 5:40 p.m. Sunday, and her arraignment is scheduled for May 5 with bail set at $500,000, court documents show. KOIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After midnight Tuesday, the Washington House passed three tax bills that change property taxes, add a tax on zero-emission vehicles, and raise rates on large businesses — the measures target revenue for education funding and revised local levy guidelines. Rep. Sharon Wylie of Vancouver defended the bills as necessary to avoid a special session before the 105-day session ends on April 27. Clark County Today
